Production Designer
Born in Liverpool, England, Tom Brown has worked
in the Art Department for some 23 years. He started
his career working for legendary Production Designers
such as Peter Lamont, Elliot Scott and Assheton
Gorton. On films like “Octopussy”, Ridley
Scott’s “Legend”, “Indiana
Jones and the Temple of Doom” and “Labyrinth”
directed by Jim Henson. Tom worked his way up the
British Art Department ladder as Draughtsman and
then Assistant Art Director on the Ron Howard fantasy
“Willow” and then “Hawks”,
“Without a Clue” (starring Michael Caine)
and the Clive Barker Horror epic “Nightbreed”.
Art Direction came in the form of, amongst others,
the Liam Neeson drama “The Big Man”
as well as Jim Sheridan’s “In The Name
Of The Father”, “The Young Indiana Jones
Chronicles” and “Saving Private Ryan”
for which Tom was nominated for an Academy Award.
Having designed many British TV dramas he has also
worked on the feature films “Guesthouse Paradiso”,
“Kevin and Perry Go Large” and “The
Parole Officer” for Director John Duigan and
most recently “Green Street Hooligans”
starring Elijah Wood. |
